Luxxbox is thrilled to announce Hemii as the official Winner of the 2022 A+Product Pendant Lighting Jury Award. After an intensive judging process by a global panel of architects, Hemii has scooped one of the most prestigious accolades in the industry, confirming the pendant among the world’s best building products in terms of aesthetics, performance and impact.
Hemii’s minimalistic design paired with powerful noise absorption capabilities and high-performance lighting output is what set the fixture apart. “When designing Hemii, we took notice of a demand for large fixtures that reduces noise without overpowering the design scheme,” said Jason Bird, Founder and Creative Director of Luxxbox. “We wanted to create the most sophisticated large dome acoustic pendant on the market, packing all of Luxxbox’s acoustic lighting benefits in a clean, classic aesthetic.”
While Hemii may look simple from the outside, the pendant was designed from the ground up to enhance an environment’s acoustics, optimise lighting and minimise glare. The dome structure is crafted from recycled acoustic PET and hand-upholstered in rapidly renewable and biodegradable wool, doubling down on sustainable noise-absorbing materials. The pendant is also equipped with a high-performance dimmable circular edge-lit LED panel, offering 3 CCT options, a UGR of <19 and numerous high-tech options such as Tunable White output, POE or Bluetooth controller upon request.
